Will weigh exactly the same as the stock set up. The Bridgestones 215/45s currently on weigh 25lbs and the wheels weigh 20.8lbs. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 245/40 will weigh 25.8lbs and the Gram Lights weigh 19.4lbs. So basically I lose a little weight while gaining grip, and some style points as well! This makes me very happy. I am so ready to get wheels. I am actually very excited. . . in case you didn't notice.

Noo not black! Not after reading the drifting rules!

"Black wheels are expressly forbidden at all Club Loose events under penalty of public humiliation for having no taste, includes flat black, matte black, gloss black and "Time Attack" style."

Now I know this a joke rule(probably) but drifters don't exactly have the classiest of wheel color choices. Just saying. Either way, I think black wheels look excellent. If my car was white I may have gone for a dark bronze color and if it was black some sort of silver.

Lol, page 2, under suspension section.

Personally, i feel running black wheels is taking the easy way out. You never have to clean them, and they will never really look dirty. Also i feel since they are black, you cant really see the full design of them. Its masked in darkness. I'd want to flaunt my nice rims in a nice, color appropriate scheme.

Thats my opinion though. haha. Dont let it change your mind. Get the black ones.

I will say, with your car being orange... Black, silver, or polished are about the only colors that look good. So in your case, id be okay with black.

Well, I hate cleaning wheels. Not only do I suck at that but I can't get all the dust unless I take the wheel off. Plus, when a wheel is moving you can't really see any sort of design. I guess at a stand still, it is harder to see, but I personally don't think so. I like black wheels cause it makes the wheels look a little larger and give the car an aggressive look.

I will say, black only works on cars with louder colors like orange or red. Something darker requires a lighter colored wheel. White cars though can get away with pretty much any color. As seen above.

ahahah, honestly i hate cleaning them too. I havent owned a set of wheels that werent clean enough for my standards. YOU! on the other hand will have a brand new set. If you keep up with washing them (dont go crazy, but actually wash them) they will stay clean for a very long time.

Hopefully you can order them soon! I on the other hand have to prepare myself to fork out a good chunk of cash on new coilovers, tints, wheels (at minimum new tires), and if im not broke, the exhaust. I hate to say it, but exhaust is last at the moment...

You sticking to stock height?

I am sticking to stock height, might lower it a bit once I get coilovers. So far people have found that lowering the car more than an inch results in worse handling. I will be getting camber bolts in the front with the wheels. When I get coilovers, I have to get lower control arms to get camber in the rear(the only way to do it). In any case, dialing in the handling is going to be a bit more expensive that the exhaust was.

I was thinking about taking the wheels off every 2 months or so, and then doing a complete wash. I am planning on keeping these wheels for quite some time, so I want them looking nice for a very very long time.

I wouldnt expect more than an inch to yield amazing results anyhow. Thats about where i want to drop mine.

Interesting, so there is no camber adjustment for the rears at all? Its even fixed for alignment purposes?

You might only have to take them off once every summer to keep them in tip top shape to be honest. If you remember to clean off the brake dust after your spirited drives and track days, and clean off any road debris on a semi daily basis, you will be able to keep very clean rims. Just get a nice juicy layer of wax or wheel sealant on them before you run with them. And just continue to build up that layer of protection.

Cant wait to see what they look like!

Make sure you look what the perfect drop for your car is. Different cars, different roll centers.

And yes, there is 0 adjustability in camber for front and rear! Funny thing is sometimes the camber is funky from factory. You need camber bolts up front, but that is only 50 bucks. . . unlike rear control arms which is around 500 bucks.

I will try to clean the wheels. They look so prudy! It is my duty to keep them beautiful!

IIRC one inch is pretty close to the magic number on a prelude if you arent going to gut the car into a racecar.

I guess its a sign of how they cut the cost down on the car. No adjustability from the factory... Noticing any peculiar tread wear patterns?

Dang thats a good bit of cash. Keep your eye on the classifieds on ft86club. maybe you could score a deal on there.

I will keep an eye out for them. Probably going to do camber adjustment before getting coilovers just to see how the car feels and if it needs it. And so far the tread where looks fine, pretty standard.

One inch is right around the amount for every car usually. Anything lower really starts to ruin things.
